In Fiscal Year (FY) 2015, HHS reported a composite error estimate for the Medicare Prescription Drug Program (Part D), based on Calendar Year 2013 payments. The FY 2015 Part D composite payment error rate combines four component payment error measures: the Payment Error Related to Low Income Subsidy Status (PELS); the Payment Error Related to Incorrect Medicaid Status (PEMS); the Payment Error Related to Prescription Drug Event Data Validation (PEPV); and the Payment Error Related to Direct and Indirect Remuneration (PEDIR).
