In Fiscal Year (FY) 2014, HHS is reporting a composite error estimate for the Medicare Prescription Drug Program (Part D), based on Calendar Year (CY) 2012 payments. The FY 2014 Part D Composite Payment Error Rate combines four component payment error measures: the Payment Error relating to Low Income Subsidy Status (PELS); the Payment Error Related to Incorrect Medicaid Status (PEMS); the Payment Error Related to Prescription Drug Event Data Validation (PEPV); and the Payment Error related to Direct and Indirect Remuneration (PEDIR).
